I have developed a new hobby, which is going to couponing sites to find grocery bargains for our hungry family. Yesterday I saw a post for free Panda Express food, so tonight, our family took advantage of this "real bargain" and took some home for dinner. Unfortunately we got a little more than we bargained for. As I was spooning the Firecracker Chicken out, one of the "red bell peppers" was extremely stretchy. In fact, it just kept stretching and stretching, no matter how far I pulled it out. I was totally disgusted, thinking it must be a rotten bell pepper. However, upon closer examination, I noticed a round end to it that looked like the end of a balloon! I realized it must be a long red balloon!!! At this point I became nauseous and horrified. The balloon had partially disintegrated, and thus had totally contaminated all the surrounding food. Not only is this very gross, but if a child has been eating this dish, they could have choked to death!
In the photo below, on the paper towel holding the balloon, all the red stuff surrounding it is not sauce. It is from the balloon. In the ad on the top, it looks like there are red balloons hovering over the dish of food. Really creepy. I didn't know that balloons were supposed to be included in this dish. And their fortune for us is pretty ironic. This was my first and last experience with Panda Express. I am not happy at all.
